GIS Scientist at a Company in Accra
A well-known company in Accra, Ghana, is looking for experienced people to fill the following roles: GIS Scientist
Responsibility:
- Reading and figuring out what maps and other GIS data mean, putting the data into the GIS database, making maps with software that does it for you, and putting together reports.
- Putting together maps, satellite pictures, and aerial photos to get information about a place.
- Finding and checking local information.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Proven skills as a GIS scientist
- An understanding of how GPS and GIS work together.
- Advanced skills in writing and looking at data on a computer.
- Know the rules and standards of current cartography.
- Advanced skills in statistics, math, and logic.
- Be able to work well with other people.
- Familiarity with drawing programs like AutoCAD and ArcView.
- Advanced computer mapping skills, good problem-solving skills, and a passion for scientific study
- The ability to turn raw geographic data into maps and papers that can be used for business.
