ROLE: Team Leader – Field Service Ghana
Purpose of the role
Drive Service growth by ensuring technical competence and customer confidence in Service capabilities throughout the Africa region. Technical liaison for customer base in Africa. Provide technical support for initiatives to close SLAs and parts agreements in the regions.
Your responsibilities:
Among the responsibilities and duties, but not only:
- Support and drive growth in Service by making sure that technical skills are up to date and that customers trust Service capabilities across the Africa region.
- Develop Field Service and other execution staff in different areas to do work according to tkIS requirements.
- Management of resources so that customers can get good service at a good price
- Internal customers are helped by analyses, information, and action plans that are sent to the different departments.
- Make sure that high-quality reports are done in the time allotted and are shared or talked about both internally and with the customer.
- Coordinate any Service activities that are happening in the region(s).
- Complete the strategic KPIs that have been given to the function.
- Needs to have a lot of contact with customers and follow up with them.
- Make sure that equipment, tools, and machines are technically safe and meet all legal, client, and internal safety requirements.
- Develop regional contracting companies to provide the necessary increase in capacity and capabilities
- Plan and take charge of the assigned budget.
- Look into, create, and put into action initiatives for process development and continuous improvement.
- Manage processes to make sure that product issues and actions are handled in a proactive way, working with the Head of Operations.
- Use tried-and-true management tools and employee development programs to come up with and put into place good maintenance practices.
- Managing people’s performance and helping them get better at their jobs
- Putting in place directives for continuous improvement to get the best results.
What you Bring:
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical qualification
- Project Management qualification
- At least 10 to 15 years of experience working in mining.
- At least 10 years of experience as a boss or manager.
- Strong technical knowledge about mining equipment, preferably about how to move and process materials.
- They have a lot of experience getting projects done in Africa and across borders.
- Good knowledge of how to take care of mining equipment and how to use the FMECA principles.
- SAP experience
