Field Car Technician(Mechanic) / Technical Supervisor Assistant at Star Fleet

Summary of Role

As a supervisor’s helper, it will be your job to keep the taxi company’s fleet of cars in good shape. Work with the boss and do what he or she says to keep the fleet in good shape.

Key Tasks

• Making sure the fleet is in good technical shape. routine repair is checked and done; the fleet is checked every day. Cars are looked at and problems are found. Making sure the needed work is done on time;
• Reviews of the document control mechanisms and processes to find ways to improve them;
• Keeping records of all types of work and all necessary work for the fleet;
• Daily monitoring of vehicles;
• Monitoring and reviewing the vehicle and equipment logs of drivers and operators;
• Inspection of car repairs. making the necessary changes and negotiating with auto repair shops;
• Knowledge of driving rules and regulations, chauffeur protocol and courtesies, local roads and conditions, and security issues;
• Evaluates scheduled activities (work programs) against vehicle/equipment logs, recording and reporting any deviation or change to the agreed schedule to the Head of Business;
• Lastly, Maintains and monitors historical data about vehicles and make sure all information is correctly captured f.

Expected Results

• Under the fleet supervisor’s direction, all cars must be in good shape, and any repairs that need to be done should be done as soon as possible.
• The driver has to keep an eye on how the cars are doing and let the managers know when they need to be fixed.

Skills

• Know how cars work, including how they work mechanically, electrically, and electronically;
• Be able to use portable tools, including power tools;
• Pay close attention to details.
• Know how to use a PC and Excel, fill out a table, and make good reports;
• Be able to solve problems;
• Be able to work well with others.

Needed Qualifications and Experience

• Should have worked in the field for at least two years.

Note: You will have to do any other job that the General Manager gives you.
