Meridian Seeds is Hiring: Sales Agronomist
Responsibilities
- Market study: Should do a study on the market and come up with a winning sales and marketing plan.
- Strategy, Planning, and Budgeting: Make and handle the budgets and expenses of the Department.
- Activation of Marketing Channels: A network of channels for distributing seeds needs to be turned on and grown.
- Getting sales to go together
- Sales Promotion: Lead the implementation of different sales promotion activities, such as farmer/dealer talks, demo setup, fairs, radio announcements, etc.
- Product Delivery: Will arrange sales and delivery of Meridian Seeds’ products to customers.
- Payment: Keep correct records of all sales and make sure that debts are paid on time.
- After Sales Support: Coordinate support for customers after a sale has been made, follow up on customer complaints, and make sure the redress process is followed correctly.
- Management of Sales Performance
Will be in charge of everything that goes on in Sales Centres (Zones and Shops). - Keep an eye on what SALE AGRONOMISTS do on a daily basis.
- Should look at the performance of channels, goods, and competitors on a regular basis.
- Should evaluate the sales team and the success of sales channels on a regular basis and report to management.
Skills or Experience Needed
- Education: You need at least a BSc or HND. Agriculture or related course.
- Experience: At least three years of work experience in the selling of agricultural inputs.
- Candidates should be able to talk to people and make connections well.
- The candidate should be good with computers and IT.
- The candidate should be ready to work with farmers and other informal actors.
- The candidate should be able to work on their own with little help.
- The candidate should be ready to travel all over the country a lot.
- The person applying should be able to drive and have a legal license.
