We are looking for a Regional Manager (Africa) to lead the African Delivery Operations team and join the Bolt Food team. You will be in charge of growing and making money in the African markets that are already open, as well as researching and opening new markets. You will be responsible for the food delivery service’s growth, income, and profit in Africa.
This strategic job will work with the company’s top managers and report to them. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to work with smart people worldwide to build the next generation of a truly global food delivery platform.
Bolt Food is currently in 20 countries in Europe and Africa, and in the next few years, it will be in even more places.
Your daily adventures will include:
- Take care of regional activities in the given area
- Look into and run the project for Bolt Food’s expansion into new areas
- Be in charge of business growth, profit and loss, and a value-based plan in the region you’re given.
- Make decisions based on facts that will help the business grow and become more efficient.
- Understand business wants and opportunities in the region and countries and take care of them quickly.
- Work closely with HQ’s key partners in product, marketing, management, and operations, as well as with local operations teams.
- Hire and encourage new talent, and help talent grow within local country teams
- Manage legal, PR, and GR issues related to the Bolt Food business in a given area.
We are looking for:
- We want people with at least 5 years of experience in operations, business development, strategy, consulting, or a similar field.
- Strong team player with a down-to-earth personality
- Record of being able to run businesses well in a fast-paced, changing business setting
- Strong leaning toward getting things done and making decisions based on data
- Great communication skills and a lot of experience dealing with different parties.
- Have experience leading and directing teams that do well.
- Fluent in English
You will get extra credits for:
- Extra points will be given if you have worked and led teams in African areas.
- Experience in the sharing economy, the tech business, the transportation industry, a startup, or a fast-growing, active company.
