Job Title: Regional Digital Business Manager
Are you ready to lead the team to speed up the change and be the catalyst at Epiroc to make sure we stay the leading global technology partner and leave a mark on the mining industry in West Africa?
As Regional Digital Business Manager, it will be your job to lead all interactions with customers and fully understand what they need. You will need to show off your innovative ideas to improve our portfolio and meet customer needs. You will have to make sure that the Digital Solutions Portfolio is implemented well and that customers get the help they need.
We need you to help the sales teams you work with learn more about our products and how to use them, act as a sales enabler to explain the value of our Epiroc Digital Solutions, and build and lead a team of technology experts who can meet the specific needs of customers and markets. You will need to make sure that the digital priorities for the region are in line with the strategic ones.
Job Description
It all starts with people and in this role, there will be a key focus on People Leadership & Culture which will consist of a high focus on safety. You will need to be a good example and a visible representative of our company’s values and code of conduct for business. Then, You will build the best and most diverse team possible to get a leading global technology partner.
You will also put a lot of effort into getting people involved and helping them grow. You will be able to make decisions on the front lines for the Division as long as you stay within their guidelines. This will help sales teams work faster and better serve customers.
Together with the regional sales teams and business line managers, come up with a flexible strategy for digital business performance and management that meets the changing needs of the business.
As the Regional Digital Manager, you will also be in charge of the territory management strategy and target development for all business units in the region. With your team, you will drive best-in-class technical product and mining application knowledge and support while acting as sales support and sales enablement for the customer centre sales teams and our end customers.
Your profile
- We expect you to have a college degree in the right field if you want to do well in this job. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or, through experience, something similar
- At least 5 years of experience in industries related to mining is required, as well as knowledge of software-related business models for segments of the mining industry and proven experience driving digital development for large, global organizations. The Regional Digital Manager will have a lot of business sense, know how to run commercial projects, and have experience bringing products to market. It’s a plus if you know about Epiroc’s digital solutions and/or the digital solutions of competitors.
- We also expect you to be a good leader, with skills like passion, courage, and the ability to build, motivate, and inspire a team.
- You’re a good communicator, and the way you lead is inclusive and gets more people involved. You have used your skills in managing change in matrixed industrial organizations before.
- You put safety first and work well with others.
- You are also very ambitious and can quickly change your mind when new information comes in.
- We expect you to be a great negotiator who can see the big picture and can get people to agree with you.
- You are “hands-on,” full of energy, and driven to do things the right way without putting your business at risk.
- You will also need to show that you understand yourself and can work on your own or as part of a team.
Location and travel
In any of our West African offices: Accra, Ghana, Bamako, Mali, Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, or Abidjan, Ivory Coast. There will be a lot of travel within the country, and there will also be some international travel.
