Employment Opportunity at Acentia Group
Grace Valley Farms (GVF), which is part of the Acentia Group, has been selling fresh food and dry goods in bulk to individuals, the Ghanaian market, homes, and offshore oil rigs for many years. GVF wants to hire a trained food scientist to work in the field of processing fresh juice.
Job Title: Food Scientist
The candidate’s job will be to oversee food production and make sure that the food is safe and healthy. He or she will help get food ready, improve products, make food, and evaluate food sources.
Requirements:
- A degree, diploma, or professional qualification in agribusiness and food processing.
- Good experience as a food scientist for at least two years.
- Give advice on how to make processed foods healthy and safe.
- Always check processed foods to make sure they are healthy.
- Give advice on how to use additives and preservatives.
- Analysis of what’s in food.
- Prepare and run studies to learn more about the long-term viability of food.
- Make new rules for how food is processed.
- Find ways to make food production, processing, manufacturing, and packaging more efficient.
- Study each step of food development, such as how the land is used and how food is made.
- Arranging and shipping sales samples.
- Estimate food shortages and make predictions about how much food is available.
- Check that food safety protocols are being followed and make plans for quality assurance.
- Check out how food can be stored and make suggestions for improvement.
- Figure out new ways to make things.
- Give advice on how to avoid contamination.
- Find out how to make food in the most cost-effective way.
- Taking care of any other tasks given by the supervisor.
- SIR training or experience making juice would be a plus.
