POSITION: Human Resources Manager
Job Overview
As the Human Resources Manager, you will be in charge of leading and promoting all HR operations and processes throughout the institute and its affiliate institutions. This function is critical for ensuring that the HR policies and processes match with the company’s strategic goals and comply with local labour regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership: Create and implement HR strategies to support company objectives, such as workforce planning, talent acquisition, and employee development.
- Talent Management: Manage recruiting processes, including job postings, interviews, and hiring. Concentrate on acquiring and maintaining outstanding personnel, while encouraging diversity and inclusiveness.
- Employee Relations: Act as the principal point of contact for employees on HR issues.
- Foster a healthy and productive work environment by resolving employee grievances and implementing performance review systems. Collaborate with department heads to establish clear standards and goals.
- Learning and Development: Determine training needs and create programs to improve staff skills and performance. Identify and develop potential future leaders inside the organization using succession planning programs.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations. Monitor legal developments and alter HR policies accordingly.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Oversee the payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- HR Metrics and Reporting: Analyse HR metrics to discover trends and opportunities for improvement. Report regularly to the president or head of the institution on HR performance and initiatives.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements by developing and executing policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related industry
- Familiarity with Ghanaian labour laws and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office suite • Fluent in English
