Role Title: Human Resources Manager
Job Purpose
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for assisting the business in all people-related procedures and operations, as well as ensuring the proper application of regulations. The incumbent collaborates closely with business leaders and/or line managers to achieve common organizational goals, specifically establishing and implementing HR practices that support strategic business goals. This position will be headquartered in Kumasi and will report to the Country Human Resource Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
- Work with the Country Human Resources Manager to create HR initiatives that will benefit the business and encourage workers to work more effectively and efficiently, ensuring a positive experience at all times.
- Weekly meetings are held with the relevant business units.
- Consult with line management, offering HR advice as needed to support strategic business priorities within your function.
- Manages and resolves difficult issues with employee relations.
- Investigates in an efficient, thorough, and objective manner. Developing skills and facilitating team interventions
- Maintains extensive understanding of legal obligations pertaining to day-to-day personnel management, reducing legal risks and guaranteeing regulatory compliance. As needed/required, collaborates with the legal department.
- Line management receives daily performance management guidance (coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary measures).
- Managing incidents and disciplinary procedures, including a copy sent to the Payroll Manager;
- Coordination and validation of monthly dashboards (absenteeism, personnel file monitoring, disciplinary punishments, days of leave taken/remaining, turnover, team _ snack/transport….);
- Supervise and maintain positive relationships with social groups such as staff mutuals, occupational medicine, and workers’ pensions. Taking responsibility for overall data accuracy;
- Monitor the amount of temporary employees and check that third-party service providers are in conformity with the law.
- Ensure that the recruitment method is followed, that temporary employees are integrated and evaluated, and that salary parity is maintained among teams.
- Participate in the Food Quality / Safety system by adhering to the approved GMP and hygiene guidelines;
- Create all social dashboards to track employee activities like as absenteeism, remuneration, leave, and workplace accidents.
- Supervise administrative staff management (employment contracts, SuccessFactors, punishment, travel, absenteeism, yearly staff leave, transfers, and so on). Keeping an eye on the attendance dashboard, Managing employee absences and departures;
- Conducts monthly field and shop floor visits and carries out any mission assigned to him by his leadership.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 5+ years of relevant job experience in an HR environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Experience with SAP (SuccessFactors); French would be an asset
- With integrity and solid work ethics, you should be able to manage complexity, assure accountability, drive engagement, and optimize work processes.
- Strategic planner who facilitates policy development and implementation while ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills are required to demonstrate leadership talents.
- Excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and be results-oriented are required.
- Analytical, good bargaining and persuasive skills, as well as multitasking and attention to detail.
