African Cashew Alliance Invites Job Applications
A leading global private sector organization active in the cashew industry and with a strong footprint in Africa is looking for the skills of a Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager. The firm is presently engaging in new ventures in West and East Africa and requires skilled people who can effortlessly blend into the operational environment.
Position Overview
- The applicant will work with the management team to develop and propel the expansion of the finance department.
- Main duties will include supporting the organization’s administrative and operational functions, detailed financial reporting, preparing and presenting budgets, managing cash flow, and strengthening internal financial controls.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Managing daily transactions including accounts payable, cash inflows, accounts receivable, and credit card activity.
- Transactions and payroll are documented accurately.
- Executing prompt and precise month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation (e.g., net assets, investments, income, costs, payroll distributions, etc.), making certain that accounting timelines are revised and precise.
- Guaranteeing accurate recognition of income and expenditures.
- Tracking cash and investment amounts while conducting cash flow predictions.
- Additional tasks as assigned to fulfill organizational needs.
Requirements
Education and Training
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related area is necessary.
- A master’s degree and/or CPA certification is advantageous.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in financial management and accounting.
Skills
- Experience in a supervisory role is advantageous.
- Expertise and Understanding
- Skillful in Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) with a strong emphasis on Excel expertise needed.
- Strong understanding of accounting rules, standards, and regulations.
- Required proficiency and practical experience with financial management software (e.g., Sage Intacct, BILL).
- Experience managing the yearly audit.
- Excellent skills in data management and analysis.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
