Administrative Manager at Alpha Beta Education Center

A respected international school in Accra, Ghana is looking to hire an ethical Administrative Manager with strong leadership skills to manage and improve the efficiency of our organization’s administrative operations.

Summary of Position

  • The Administrative Manager will be directly responsible to the Principal for supervising and overseeing the administration of all academic affairs and related matters in the school.
  • Together with the right staff, s/he will make sure that Cambridge Assessment International Education works well in the school.

The Admin Manager should do the following:

  • Be a living Christian whose morals and ethics fit with the school’s Christian ethos and who is committed to keeping and protecting it.
  • Have a lot of planning, social, and teamwork skills that will help them work in the Higher Education Sector.
  • Have a good business sense and a deep understanding and respect of the strategic and operational issues in top-level school management and administration;
  • Have high-level analytical skills and clear evidence of competence and leadership.
  • Be able to talk to people and handle them well.
  • Know how to put jobs in order of importance and when to give them to other people.
  • Be able to act in a way that is honest, professional, and private.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the duties and obligations are:

  • Coordinate and oversee the members of the administrative team to make sure that the school’s administration is running well every day.
  • Be in charge of all of the college’s management tasks (secondary department).
  • Work with teachers and topic coordinators to make sure that the Cambridge International Programme works well in both lower and upper secondary schools.
  • Work with the management and staff to make sure that the kids get the best care, education, and safety possible.
  • Make sure the school’s tools and furniture are well taken care of and communicate with the right people when repairs or renovations are needed.
  • Making sure that extracurricular events are set up in the college section and that all staff members take part in this important part of school life.
  • Keeping the Christian spirit of the school alive in the way it teaches, acts, and talks.
  • Making sure that the rules for enrolling in school are followed well and that new students are accepted into the school and the living house in the right way.
  • Working with the right people to help with the school’s press, marketing, and admissions.
  • Working with the Human Resources department to train and motivate staff so that they have all the tools they need to do their jobs to the greatest standards and within the deadlines set.

Needed Qualifications and Experience

The candidate must have a good bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration or a related field, as well as at least 6 years of management experience in a school or other setting, with increasing levels of responsibility.

Location: Accra.
