POSITION: Junior Trainer – AWS CLOUD

Job Description

The Junior Trainer AWS is responsible to deliver remotely our Azubi Africa training programs (1,000+ learners).Together in a team of other Trainers, he/she delivers in our proven & innovative training structures, supported & guided by a team of experienced Senior Trainers.

The Junior Trainer is also responsible to manage the learners on a daily basis, give them constant feedback, motivate them and report about their progress to various stakeholders. It is also expected that the Junior Trainer contributes to other project activities, e.g., outreach to stakeholders, organizing of events, writing of reports, market research and scripting of promotional material etc.

Responsibilities

Successful applicants will perform the following duties:

• Deliver trainings in our Azubi Africa programs for young African talents in the field of AWS Cloud (focus: AWS re/Start program https://aws.amazon.com/training/restart/)
• Coach learners through practical scenarios in JavaScript and Cloud deployment
• Record videos to be used in our training sessions
• Upskill yourself constantly to be able to add value for our learners
• Contribute to the constant improvement of training delivery (pedagogical concept, learner engagement, performance tracking etc.)
• Contribute to additional project tasks (e.g., outreach events, reporting, market research, promo material, etc.)

Qualification

Applicants should possess the following qalifications:

• Firstly, at least theoretical, preferred practical knowledge in the areas of AWS Cloud as well as Linux, Python, networking, security, and relational databases
• Secondly, AWS CCP or CSA Certification is a big plus – passing of AWS CCP Certification is required within probation period (exam voucher will be provided by Azubi Africa)
• Thirdly, proven passion for technology topics
• Also, passion for upskilling yourself and others – joy in seeing your trainees grow personally as well as technically
• Additionally, First training / teaching experience
• Also, experience in community building and a strong sense of continuous improvement for members in the community.
• Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds
• Excellent attention to detail, high work discipline
• Ability to deliver to deliver a technical course in English and French is an added advantage
• Experience in video manipulation (recording and editing) is a plus
