The highly competitive 2021-2025 University of Adelaide Global Academic Excellence Scholarship (overseas) recognizes overseas students starting undergraduate and postgraduate coursework who have excelled academically.

According to the 2023 US News Best Global Universities, the University of Adelaide came in at position 74. The 1750 international universities were evaluated based on thirteen parameters, such as research reputation, publication output, citations, highly cited papers, and international collaboration, for the 2023 rankings.
QS World University Rankings place 89th.
In the 2024 QS World University Rankings, the University of Adelaide came in at number 89. The rankings for 2024 evaluated 1500 international universities using five metrics: faculty/student ratio, international faculty, employer reputation, and academic reputation.

2023 Adelaide Global Academic Excellence International Scholarship Details
- Host Country: Australia.
- Host University: University of Adelaide
- Study Level: Undergraduate or postgraduate
- Eligible Candidates: International students (excluding Australia and New Zealand)
Eligibility:
- Available for commencing students, including direct-entry international undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students who must complete a Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) before starting their degree;
- Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand);
- Available for study in any discipline.
The University of Adelaide accepts applicants who have earned the following academic levels:
- Undergraduate programs: Raw ATAR of 98 or comparable.
- Postgraduate coursework programs: GPA 6.8 or comparable.
Scholarship Perks
Each faculty member will give two 50% tuition scholarships to the applicant with the highest ATAR or GPA.
