ROLE: Procure to Pay Payment Team Lead

Key Responsibilities
This new job is meant to help with the operational delivery of the payments processing service to WV Offices in Asia Pacific, East Africa, West Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Europe. The person in this job will be in charge of making sure that payment runs are made correctly and on time in Sun6 systems.
This person will also make sure that all payment registers (PYR) are processed within Service Level Agreements. They will also help keep track of the team’s daily workload, fix any problems, and make sure that suppliers are paid correctly and on time through the system and banking platforms.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Take charge of managing how the payments processing team works at one of the Shared Services sites.
- Handle day-to-day business, such as putting payments processing tasks into action and solving operational problems.
- In charge of the service quality and key performance indicators (KPIs) of the team that processes payments.
Helping out customers
- Serve as the first point of contact for any customer complaints, solving problems and looking into questions as needed.
- Helps Field Office Finance solve problems caused by things like failed payments.
- Takes the lead in working with a team to solve integration problems and fix mistakes.
Continuous Improvement
- Tests new Coupa and/or Sunsystem features to help with a system upgrade that has to do with payments.
- Helps identify process standardization and improvement potentials and support implementation.
Supervisory Responsibility and Business Continuity
- Do things related to managing people for the payments processing team.
- Train new team members, write down and go over processes with current team members.
- Work proactively with other payments team leads from different sites to make sure business continuity.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor degree (preferred fields of study – finance, accounting, or business management).
- Change-making experience in a customer-facing and results-driven environment
- 3–4 years of experience with peer-to-peer operations, preferably managing a small team.
- Strong knowledge of the processes for getting money and how banks work.
- Experience with accounting at World Vision or any other NGO. A background in customer service.
- Lean Six Sigma greenbelt belt or at least work toward getting certified
Work Environment:
Working with a team from around the world means having a flexible work schedule. Depending on the time zones of the people who attend, meetings can take place from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. These are rare and mostly under control, but you need to be able to be flexible to deal with others.
Most of the time, we want and expect people to work from one of our shared service offices.
