POSITION: Financial Planning and Analysis Officer
Job Summary
Responsible for assisting the Business Analyst in carrying out spending and variance analyses, reporting Key Performance Indicators, business planning, reporting, and coordinating plant budgeting operations in accordance with corporate rules and practices. Works closely with the Data Analyst to collect critical data for reporting purposes.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Collaborates with the Data Analyst to track and report on the movement of raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, processing supplies, and so on.
- Supports the annual budget planning process in collaboration with the Business Analyst.
- Assists Business Analyst in preparing monthly Economic Results for Management’s notice.
- Under the direction of the Business Analyst, oversees spending on overheads, manufacturing, maintenance, supplies, and consumables.
- Creates ad hoc reports for management decision-making.
- Assists with inventory cycle counts between months and period-end physicals in accordance with corporate guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar subject, with at least 3-5 years of experience in financial and cost accounting.
- Partly qualified through ICA (Ghana) or CIMA.
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of Excel, financial spreadsheets, and accounting applications.
- Basic awareness of financial trends in the food industry.
- Have a fundamental understanding of managerial and financial accounting concepts.
