ROLE: Specialist – Business Development

Summary of Role:

Build profitable and mutually beneficial relationships with educational institutions which is a critical sector for our growth strategy in Ghana and ensuring that this sector, contributes significantly towards our total annual revenue.

Contribute to implementing the Association’s customer engagement strategy in Ghana as directed by the RVP (Regional Vice President)/AD (Associate Director).

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Business Development (50%)

  • Build and maintain relationships with key tertiary institutions by aligning their syllabus with the CIMA syllabus.
  • Contribute to the actualisation of the annual revenue target for Ghana by 40% from this sector.
  • Contribute to the actualisation of annual student’s growth targets for Ghana by 50% from this sector.
  • Drives uptake of the Astar pathway in tertiary institutions and with graduates that fall within the target market.
  • Drive uptake of the academic pathway with academics.
  • Drive the sales of our PCGs (Promote Competency Globally) with academics in tertiary institutions.
  • Seek partnerships with Business Schools in Ghana to sell and teach the CIMA Diploma in Performance Management in Ghana.
  • Drives uptake of the Certificate in Business Accounting and Diploma in Performance Management with school leavers
  • Create a visible presence through face-to-face presentations at tertiary institutions.

Customer Services (25%)

  • Ensure that The Association’s profile is enhanced through their interactions with all customers and potential customers by ensuring a high level of customer service is consistent. delievered through every customer interaction.
  • Provide support to customers via several multimedia channels.
  • Receive enquiries and provide information about CIMA and the CIMA qualification to prospective and existing customers.
  • Keep current with any changes that might impact the customer.
  • Conduct pre/post lapsing as well as exam encouragement campaigns.
  • Influence potential CIMA students and assist with the student acquisition targets.
  • May provide guidance and training to government program intern.

Operations (25%)

  • Ensure effective and efficient running of office operations including petty cash, payment processing and lending effective administrative support to the office.
  • Receive and manage correspondence between office and external stakeholders.
  • Plans and coordinates all branch and office events.

Desired Skills and Experience

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • Degree level/business qualification or qualified through relevant depth of experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years related working experience.

Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education:

  • Experience working within a college/university, offering support to perspective students within a customer focused organisation.
  • Proven experienced at B2B Account Management with a track record of success in selling intangible benefits.
  • Target responsibility with demonstrable and consistent achievement in these areas.
  • Experience working remotely and in virtual teams.
  • Commercial experience helpful; used to operating on the phone, with a track record of success in developing customer relationships.
  • Location at Accra , Ghana.
