TAKE NOTE:

This warning is being issued by the State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation in regard to fraudulent advertisements for scholarships offered by the Swiss government that have been posted on social media or sent through email. Fraudsters are offering bogus scholarships in an effort to convince their victims to send them money (by, for example, stating that the funds are necessary to cover the costs of obtaining a visa or social insurance).

It is highly recommended by the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS) that members of the general public disregard these fraudulent offers and, above all else, do not send any money. There is no cost associated with submitting an application for a scholarship offered by the Swiss government.
