Regarding Leeds University:

The University is one of the biggest universities in the United Kingdom, having been founded in 1904. We are among the top 100 universities in the world and are well-known for the caliber of our research and instruction. Our academic strength and the range of fields we teach offer a multitude of opportunities and have a significant cultural, economic, and societal impact on the world.

The evolution of Leeds as a global hub for the textile and apparel industries in the Victorian era of the United Kingdom is associated with its history. To meet the needs of the five newly created medical institutions in the city, the Leeds School of Medicine was founded in 1831. The Yorkshire College of Science was established in 1874 to educate the offspring of middle-class merchants and industrialists. These aspects of the university’s past are still acknowledged; the Clothworkers’ Court, for instance, is still located on campus.

The university is housed on a single campus in the heart of the city, offering three different on-campus housing options. Leeds’ downtown may be reached on foot in ten minutes by following the main thoroughfares. There’s plenty of public transportation, and the Student Union runs a night bus exclusively for students.

Approximately 32% of all students at Leeds University are foreign, with over 12,000 coming from over 130 countries. International students can enroll in foundation courses offered by NCUK that lead to enrollment in degree programs at Leeds. Please check the Pathway & Foundation page for further details.
