At Soronko Academy, we think that technology can help people reach their full potential. We’ve been working for years to close the gender gap in technology so that the next generation of critical thinkers and problem solvers in Africa can come from there. We’ve also been using technology to help people find good jobs that make them feel good about themselves.
We are now starting a new phase to do even more: reach more women and girls in all of Ghana’s regions, make more strategic relationships, and help more young people all over the world through our online classes, classes at the academy, and classes with partner hubs. Join our team to help improve education and social change in Ghana and other places. Help us close the gap between men and women and get more girls to study and work in technology.
Scaling Jobs for Women with Technology is a project that aims to make it easier for young women from low-income families to take advantage of digital economic possibilities and close the digital gender gap.
Summary
Soronko Academy is looking for a part-time Software Trainer who can also teach WordPress, Web Development & Design, HTML + CSS, Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, and UI/UX Design With Figma.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Teach them how to use web development languages like WordPress Web Development & Design well.
- HTML + CSS
- Digital Marketing
- With Figma, you can design UI/UX for social media management.
- Help plan and create the course outline and curriculum
- Check out each person’s training needs and adjust the training methods as needed
- Prepare, plan, and study for lessons and teaching materials
- Spend time with students or groups, checking exams, checking, grading, and giving comments on student work.
- Use new technology like live conferencing or distance learning; keep
- Help the lead trainer keep the program up-to-date with the latest IT skills and market trends.
- Do everything else as instructed.

- Ability to work on various projects under pressure and finish them on time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a similar area
- At least two years of experience making software. Proven ability to think of creative solutions to problems. Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong people skills and a can-do attitude
- Proven ability to finish tasks within the scope, budget, and time frame set out.
