Secondary School Vice Principal at Alpha Beta Education Center
A well-known international school in Accra, Ghana, is looking for a Vice Principal with skills in inspiring and strategic leadership and a desire to help young people become creative, confident, and capable leaders.
Summary of Position
- The Vice Principal will work with the Management Team to make sure that students get high-quality academic and non-academic material, good administrative procedures, and enough supervision of the team.
- The school has an international curriculum from preschool to Secondary. The Vice Principal will be in charge of improving the quality of teaching and learning, making the school run more smoothly and raising the school’s profile. This is a very important role that has the potential to change the school for the better.
The person applying should:
- Be a living Christian whose morals and ethics fit with the school’s Christian ethos and who is committed to keeping and protecting it.
- Be highly motivated and driven, know a lot about what makes a good teacher, and be committed to making sure that teaching and learning are of the best quality.
- Have the creativity, vision, and drive to inspire and lead change and make sure good results happen.
- Be able to speak and write English well.
- Know what Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) is and how it works.
- Be able to figure out what students and staff need from a teaching point of view and offer professional solutions when possible.
- Have a good idea of and experience with managing, creating, implementing, and evaluating curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Some of the duties and obligations are:
- The manager is in charge of the overall tracking, evaluating, and improving the teaching and learning environment’s performance management.
- Working with the Principal, Heads of Primary and preschool, and all other important people to make sure that teaching and learning meet the best standards possible.
- To lead, manage, and guide the work of the staff in planning, teaching, assessing, and evaluating teaching and learning within a disciplined staff and student body.
- To make sure that the learning, development, and discipline of students are at the center of all decisions.
Needed Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants must have both a good bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in education. They must also have at least 10 years of experience in management at a reputable educational institution.
- Must have good computer literacy (ICT) skills
Location: Accra.
