Roles and Responsibilities
- Do risk reviews to find possible risks and come up with plans for how to deal with them.
- Set up policies, procedures, and controls for risk management across the whole company.
- Check and report on risk factors and how well risk management is working
- Create training programs for risk management and teach workers the best ways to handle risks.
- Talk with the right legal bodies to make sure rules and guidelines are followed.
- Work with other areas to make and implement plans to reduce risk.
- Review and audit risk management methods on a regular basis to make sure they are working.
- Report on risk management actions on a regular basis to top management.
- Risks that come with new or changed goods, services, and businesses need to be looked at and dealt with.
- Make sure that the plans, methods, and procedures for Business Continuity Management (BCM) are up to date and are being followed.
Skills or Experience Needed
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related area.
- At least three years of experience in the financial field managing risks.
- Strong understanding of the methods and ideas behind risk management.
- IT tools, business processes, and operations that have to deal with risk management
- Bank of Ghana says that you should know the rules and laws that apply.
- Excellent at analyzing and fixing problems.
- Good at talking to people and getting along with them.
- Ability to work both alone and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and able to put things in order of importance.
- It’s a plus if you have a professional certification in risk management or a related area.
