POSITION: Sales Operations Coordinator

Qatar Airways (QR) has begun an exciting transformation journey to redefine how we interact with our customers. As part of this journey, we are currently looking for the position of Sales Operations Coordinator in Accra, Ghana.

In this post, you will be responsible for carrying out daily sales operations activities for the allocated territory while adhering to established processes and policy requirements. Provide five-star service to internal sales teams and external trade partners, enabling QR revenue-generating sales operations. Participate in relationship building with internal stakeholders and actively contribute to the sales operations team’s strong esprit de corps.

Specific accountabilities include:

• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sales operations functions, ensuring compliance with QR’s worldwide sales operations standards.
• Lead the team in the execution of sales operations tasks such as reservations and ticketing, trade/corporate account support, group sales, sales support, sales systems, and sales administration.
• Deliver customer-friendly, value-added messages to external trade partners about QR-related issues like campaigns, policy changes, and fare revisions.
• Help the sales staff keep an up-to-date database of trade partners in the region. Provide line managers and regional management with regular updates on important departmental performance metrics and outstanding issues.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to maintain excellent service delivery standards.
• Perform other departmental duties relevant to his or her role as specified by the Department Head.
• Responsible for all sales operations activities, including but not limited to reservations and ticketing, refunds, trade/corporate account support, group sales, sales support, sales systems, and sales administration.
• Process refunds.
• Raise Commercial Tool Kit demands in Galaxy for the sales force.
• Maintenance of the Galaxy and Trade portal platforms.
• Communicate with clients or QR Account Managers about paperwork completion.
• Prepare reports for key markets and distribute monthly performance reports.
• Maintain updated customer profiles in Galaxy.
• Upload PLBs and business contracts to Galaxy.
• Take part in an astonishing narrative.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you will need:

• High school qualifications or equivalent with a minimum of three years of job-related experience.
• Experience in the following areas: reservations/ticketing, sales support, group sales, tariffs, distribution, and business analysis.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
• PC savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Good knowledge of airline procedures (e.g., pricing and distribution technologies), systems (e.g., Amadeus, GDSes), and the travel business in general.
• Problem-solving abilities and an efficiency-oriented mindset.
• Excellent mentoring and coaching skills.
• Ability to promote teamwork among team members.
