Purpose of the role
The role as Product Application Engineer would be responsible to provide best technical support for Epiroc drilling consumables, Ground support and Hydraulic attachments business for your region/customers assigned.
Product Application Engineer will also be responsible to support business strategy execution, conducting trainings to customer operations team on Epiroc products and provide technical assistance to internal team members.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Provide best in class technical support for your region/customers assigned.
- Improve your competence level on Epiroc Tools and Attachment (TLD) products and ensure good support to our internal business development/operations team.
- Ensure strong relationship with our customer operations team in your assigned region, understand the requirements and propose the right products to optimize the cost per meter for our customer.
- Support Business development team to formulate strategy based on technical feedback of our products Vs competition and help in making technical offers.
- Play an active role in executing the strategy with respect to technical support.
- Propose right product for customer application, conduct field test to demonstrate the benefits of using Epiroc products to our customer and follow up for the orders.
- Establish a structured & detailed way of reporting the field test covering all the parameters including competitor performance, customer operation and submit it to the stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor the performance of our drilling consumables with our existing customers and proactively suggest for improvements to optimize the customer operations cost for drilling consumables.
- Provide trainings to customer team on optimum utilization of TLD products to achieve good performance.
- Maintain well-structured data base of our product performance for your assigned region/customers including service life with respect to application/ground condition and competitor product performance.
- Support Business development team in building up strong market intelligence in line with the happenings in the market.
- Create agile, data driven and digital ways in our approach to execute our strategies.
Requirements
Experience and Education
- University degree or similar by experience in relevant field.
- Strong knowledge in areas related to mining and drilling applications.
- Strong experience on Drilling machines and Rock drilling tools applications
- Proven ability to build strong & effective working relationships with customers and colleagues.
Knowledge
- Fluent in English and French will be preferred.
- Solid technical and application knowledge on drilling machines and rock drilling tools
- Strong presentation skills and ability to convince people by logical reasoning
- Computer skills are needed to be able to prepare presentations, compile and analyse data, report in a detailed way etc.
