- JOB TITLE: Inventory Supervisor
- Location: Spintex Road, Accra.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The inventory supervisor is largely in charge of overseeing material handling operations, such as receiving supplies, commodities, and items and guaranteeing their right distribution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Maintain a record of receipts and issuance of items leaving the warehouse to guarantee correctness and completeness.
- Responsibilities include reconciling physical stock with system stock and ensuring an ordered storage system for easy retrieval. Similarly, he or she ensures that the stocks are physically safeguarded in the warehouse.
- To perform the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock on a regular basis, working closely with the authorised staff members
- Supervise the offloading operation and subsequent arrangement of merchandise, material, etc., and consignment so that it may be conveniently accessed and identified.
- To assure the accurate and timely value of the inventory, and to be involved in guiding and supervising procedures related to offloading, packing, and unpacking
- To create periodic reports on warehouse activities such as consignments received, quantities received, points of pickup and dispatch, stacking number, outstanding balance, and so on.
- To deliver the best service to both existing and new clients, ensuring that each and every customer is satisfied.
- Monitor sales forecasts to provide early notice of stock outs.
- Purchase requests should be made with sales forecasts, ongoing projects, and vendor lead times in mind to ensure that minimum stock levels are always maintained.
- Supervise the work of junior workers in the unit.
- Maintaining ISO documents and records
- Carry out any additional duties as specified.
OSHA RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures.
- Follow all safety procedures, rules, and directions.
- Risk Assessment
- Hazard Identification and Reporting
- Knowledge of the safe use of all tools and equipment, where applicable
SALARY: Competitive
Required Skill or Experience
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Good knowledge of the processes used in keeping records of purchases, receipts and payments, and maintaining general supplies.
- Good understanding of the foundations of inventory control
- Numerical ability to conduct quick and accurate arithmetic computations with a calculator
- Proficiency with computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, email, and database software.
- Skilled at using computerised inventory control systems and supervising team members.
- Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions
- Organisational skills.
- Good judgement.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a similar subject.
- At least 5 years of expertise in inventory management.
