Job Title: INTERNS/VOLUNTEERS
JOB SUMMARY
From May 2023 to April 2024, the Perbi Cubs are going to have a big reading program. We are looking for a lot of interns and volunteers to help out at our different program sites by getting kids interested in our reading platform and setting up other fun activities.
This job is perfect for recent college graduates who are looking for work or first-year college students, as well as people who are interested in helping and are already doing so in Ghana. Those who are chosen will start training in the month of February.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help kids who will be coming to our reading booths for the Kaneval experience sign up ahead of time.
- Help kids who come to our reading booths figure out how to use the Perbi Cubs reading platform and how to read.
- Watch over and help the Cubs during fun activities like face painting, jumping castles, reading contests, and so on.
- Plan fun things to do once a week or once a month in each spot or zone.
- Reporting on what’s going on on the spot and telling the Project Supervisor right away about any problems.
- Help the operations team make sure that all the necessary details are on site.
- You must be able to stick to the 7 Ps of our company’s name, which are People, Integrity, Excellence, Flexibility and Fun, Innovation and Creativity, Success, and Grace and Glory.
- You will do any other job that your boss or manager gives you to do.
Skills or Experience Needed
- Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and be looking for work, or they should be in their first year of college and looking for internships. People who are in the National Service can also apply.
- Volunteers from other countries who live in Ghana and want to help kids learn to read and write can also apply.
- A strong desire to teach and learn.
- Good speaking skills both orally and in writing.
- The ability to keep going even when things are hard.
- Excellent planning skills.
- Ability to get along well with people at all levels.
- Loves children and wants to make a difference in their lives.
- Good at listening and paying attention to the little things.
- Excellent time organization skills.
- Both Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite can be used well.
- The ability to be a good representative of Perbi Cubs.
- The skill to run the Perbi Cubs Program in a way that is fun, helpful, and positive.
- Should be someone who likes to have fun.
- should feel at ease being around and with kids.
