Nova Scotia Labor Market Priorities Stream | No Job Offer Needed | Canada PR
You may move to Nova Scotia without having a job offer if you use the province’s labor market priority stream. The province prefers candidates who are proficient in the priority languages and have experience in in-demand professions.
Sometimes the program makes announcements about occupations before intakes in this stream and other times no announcements are made and applicants are accepted directly from the express entry pool, one of Nova Scotia’s PNP streams. Candidates who were selected and nominated under the NSLMP stream can proceed to apply for permanent residency. The Nova Scotia labor market priority stream chooses Express entry applicants based on the needs of the local labor market.
Eligibility Requirements
The criteria are divided into five major areas, each of which is covered in more detail below. If you meet all of the criteria listed below, you may apply to the labor market priority stream.
First, a Letter of Interest from the NSNP
Your Express Entry account has to have a letter of interest from Nova Scotia to apply to the NSLMP stream. After receiving the letter of interest, you will have 30 days to apply.
Next, Specific Criteria for each Draw
The requirements for each draw also determines by the NSNP and will be based on the labor market needs of the province. Only then will you receive a letter of interest if you are eligible for the draw based on your Express Entry profile? You’ll need to provide proof that you meet these specific standards.
Also, the Minimum Work Experience Criteria
You must demonstrate that you meet the minimal work experience requirements of the Express Entry Federal program to be eligible for this stream.
Additionally, Settlement Fund Requirements
You must show that you have the resources to successfully move your family to Nova Scotia. The settlement money guide includes details on the necessary amount and accepted payment methods. You do not need to show proof of these monies if you are applying for Express entry under the Canadian experience class or if you have a valid job offer and are legally allowed to work in Canada.
Next, Immigration Status Requirements
To apply to the NSLMP Stream, you must be in good standing in the nation where you are currently residing. At the time of application, your work permit must still be valid. The following steps also required if you are in Canada on one application procedure to obtain permanent residence through the Nova Scotia labor market priority stream.
- Initially, meet the requirements to be eligible for the Federal FSW, FST, or CEC programs.
- Second, make an Express Entry profile and identify the province interested in by selecting Nova Scotia or all provinces and territories.
- Third, fulfill the requirements to be eligible for the NSLMP stream.
A formal letter of interest from your Express entry profile also required. - Next, submit your application using the online facility provided by Nova Scotia. within 60 days of receiving the letter of interest, completing the forms, and adding the necessary documentation to the NSLMP stream.
- In addition, after the NSNP reviews the application, you must remove the Nova Scotia provincial nomination from your Express entry profile within 30 days of receiving it.
Earn 600 more CRS points for your Express entry profile in addition to that to be eligible for an invitation to apply. - Finally, submit a permanent residency application using your Express entry profile. To upload all required papers, you must create an account on Nova Scotia’s website.
