POSITION: Senior Project Control Analyst

About This Role:
- Lead Project Controller for a specific project and provide support for additional regional Development and Sustaining Capital projects as needed, including cost estimating, cost management, planning and scheduling, cost and schedule analysis, and project reporting throughout the project life cycle.
- Maintain strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, EPC(M) Contractor(s), and/or Owner-led Contractor(s).
- Identify cost or schedule variances quickly so that Project Management may make informed decisions. (Change control).
In this role, you will
- The major responsibility of this position will be to provide scheduling support to Ahafo South.
- Assist in creating the timetable baseline and keeping track of the project’s status.
- Assist in the formulation and control of the Owner’s S&ER schedule, which includes land purchase, resettlement, crop compensation, and so on.
- Assist with the creation of a progress system for the Owner’s S&ER scope.
- Coordinate all scheduling activities with the Lead Planner to guarantee a smooth data transfer.
- Provide coverage on the overall schedule as needed.
- The schedule will be maintained in P6 (Primavera).
- Training will be provided as needed.
- To support project management, the candidate will develop the schedule baseline and maintain project status. They will also develop the cost baseline (Original Budget) and maintain the current budget and forecast using effective change management and forecasting.
- Oversee the construction of a comprehensive progress and performance system, as well as the coordination of reporting.
- Coordinate overall monthly and as-needed project reports.
- Serve as the Owner’s primary liaison and interface with Project Accounting.
- Provide control input and analysis for monthly reports, as well as project and contract close out reports.
- Prior to award, evaluate agreements for work performed by suppliers, consultants, and contractors to ensure that project controls requirements are clearly stated and adequate for the degree of contract risk. During project execution, audit third-party reports to ensure compliance with these standards.
- Participate in the annual business planning cycle. Ensure that project control systems can create reports for either annual or life-of-project budgets.
- Actively participate in important project planning sessions, including opportunity framing, interactive planning, risk analysis, formal forecast updates, and project reviews led by corporate and third-party benchmarking consultants.
- Maintain an active risk register, convey discovered gaps and corrective actions to the Project Director and Regional Project Controls Manager, and carry out corrective actions as agreed upon by project stakeholders.
Training, Skills, and Experience Checklist
Formal qualifications (including professional registrations):
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, accounting, or project management is required, as well as equivalent experience or a combination of training and experience.
- Project management training.
- A thorough understanding of construction processes, methodologies, productivity, and costs.
- A excellent understanding of accounting principles.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering and construction management, with at least 3 years of experience in project controls and successful completion of a project assignment.
- Practical SAP experience.
- Knowledge of the Newmont stage gate processes.

- Intermediate to advanced software programs and solutions for scheduling and cost management.
