POSITION: Programme Officer

AAG has been active in Ghana since 1990 and has attained recognition as a registered national Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), complete with a functional Board of Trustees (BoT) and General Assembly (GA) that ensure the necessary governance oversight while aiding in the effective management of the organization.
Position Overview
- Compensation: This position falls under SM2 of ActionAid Ghana’s Compensation Framework.
- Position location: Zebilla – Upper East Region
Position Summary
In your role as a Programme Officer, you will focus on enhancing partners and communities’ understanding and appreciation of the implementation of the Country Strategy Paper (CSP), developing and maintaining partnerships and networking connections with essential stakeholders to shape policies and practices, and bolstering the capacity of rights holder organizations to interact with the government and local authorities regarding the Region’s mission objectives.
Moreover, you will oversee partners’ programs and relationships to guarantee compliance with ActionAid’s quality programming standards and financial management protocols, carry out frequent visits to rights holders and their communities, record the changes observed, and submit activity reports to fulfill CSP objectives.
Necessary Qualifications or Background
Educational Credentials & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a related area
- Three (3) years of professional experience.
Employment Conditions: This is a renewable employment contract lasting three (3) years under national terms and conditions.
