We are looking for Senior Reservations and Ticketing Agents in Accra, Ghana. In this capacity, you will be expected to deliver full service-oriented professional reservations and ticketing service to all clients and travel businesses via phone conversations or in-person meetings in order to maximize customer satisfaction and exceed annual revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Make and confirm passenger reservations.
- Arrange reservations and routing for all sorts of ticketing transactions utilizing timetables, airline manuals, reference guides, and tariff books, as well as the proper issuing of ATB.
- Reduce passenger complaints by assisting mishandled passengers, such as NOREC/DNB.
- To reduce passenger complaints and debit notes, issue tickets with the right fare.
- Advice on modifications to flight plans, as well as cancellation or confirmation of reservations.
- Inform load control workers and other stations of changes in passenger itinerary in order to control space and maximize seat utilization on flights.
- Make certain that the sales report is completed on schedule.
- To create income, initiate and market QR products.
- Record and process phone/fax/e-mail bookings; actions telex messages and authorities.
- Handle the Help Desk – Provide assistance to travel agents with seat confirmations and upgrade/downgrade suggestions.
- Issuing MCOs and reimbursements; processing lost and time-blocked tickets.
- Examine the passenger ticket to ensure that the passenger is directed/advised accurately.
- Plan your itinerary and calculate ticket prices using schedules, rate books, and a computer.
- Determines whether room is available on the customer’s requested trip dates.
- Call the customer or travel agent to notify them of changes in their travel arrangements or to confirm their reservation, as well as to discuss other available options.
- Sell and assemble tickets for client distribution or mailing.
- Respond to inquiries from travel agencies or transportation companies such as airlines, bus companies, railroads, and shipping lines.

Qualifications
You will require in order to be successful in this role.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus one year of relevant experience
- A recognized IATA / Airline Basic Tariff Course will be beneficial.
- A good understanding of world geography.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication abilities.
- Thorough understanding of special rates/offers/promotions.
- Proven ability to handle room sales while keeping revenue in mind.
- Ability to follow management policy and goal sales mix to maximize room income while ensuring that every chance to sell is taken.
