Job Title: Filter Operator 

GGBPLC operates from two locations in five beverage categories: Stout, Lager, RTD, Non-alcoholic Malt, and Mainstream spirits, as well as Spirits distribution. In a driven environment, Ghana’s economy is likely to grow at a mid to high single-digit rate. Customers and consumers in this region anticipate high-quality items.

There is also a growing middle class that is willing to try new products. GGBPLC is going through a big reform process, focusing on accountability, quality maintenance standards, supply planning, cost reduction, and efficiency. GGBPLC will develop its personnel and create an atmosphere that attracts and maintains the best people in accordance with its objectives.

As the Supply function, we will produce high-quality items in a safe environment, on time and on budget, with no faults. The Brewing Technical operator is a person who has brewing operational knowledge of beer brewing and fermentation profiles, as well as the Beer Membrane Filtration (BMF) equipment.

He is in charge of ensuring that essential KPIs such as wort production, Lager Yeast Management, Fermentation, BMF plant, and Beer Quality are satisfied in accordance with CODEX and DWB standards, as well as Safety, Flavour, Waste, and Excellence in Supply Chain (EISC) criteria.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of occupational health and safety standards. Declare and communicate frequently that safety is our top priority. Be a transparent ambassador for safety by always behaving safely and always criticizing unsafe practices and behavior of others, reprimanding where warranted. Maintain rigorous adherence to site safety requirements, as well as system and equipment operational protocols.
  • Shall be committed to creating safe and high-quality products by adhering to all Food
  • Safety and Quality Management System guidelines.
  • Ownership of the brewing process plant is essential to achieve the desired volume and quality every shift while reducing waste (cost).
  • Complete the required Brewing operations short interval controls.
  • With the assistance of Shift Brewing Managers, meet the production plan and key performance targets while maintaining agreed-upon customer service levels.
  • Participate in proficiency-based training programs and actively pursue individual and team training and development. Support the development of other team members and cultivate strong relationships with coworkers, including contractors.
  • Share and use newly acquired skills, take part in developmental cleaning and PIPs to meet/exceed improvement targets. Consider general ways to improve workspaces.
  • Compile and comment on any reports that are required, whether they are original or generated automatically. Plant checklists, shift reports, and handover reports are examples of these.
  • Participate in team building and engagement initiatives at the departmental and site levels to provide a high engagement index and improve working methods.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Holder of a post-secondary qualification in a science-related field with demonstrated experience: HND/BSc. in Chemical Engineering, Science Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Food Science and Technology is preferred.
  • Show a thorough awareness of the permit-to-work system as well as GGBPLC SHE policies, regulatory obligations, and duties.
  • Understand the ideas of teamwork, continuous improvement, preventative maintenance, and issue solutions.
  • Response to a shift in positive viewpoint in a variety of events or challenges.
    Positive attitude toward personal development; seeks chances to assist others in learning and developing.

  • Personal inflexibility in a strictly controlled manufacturing environment with variable production and sales demand.
  • Inability to pursue individual and team training and growth, as well as share and utilize new skills.
