POSITION: Lead Software Engineer (Backend)
This is a great chance to join the server engineering team as Team Lead and help make and use software solutions that work.
You will work with other engineers, product managers, and key partners to figure out what software needs are and how to make them happen.

Responsibilities

- In product development talks, you should be in charge of designing the architecture.
- Find, rank, and do jobs based on product requirements.
- Guide the team as they put architecture and product design ideas into action.
- Work with Product Managers, Infrastructure Engineers, and others to find problems with product performance, fix them, and make the products better.
- Use C# to write code that is clean, can be tested, and can grow.
- Brownfield codebases need to be reviewed, updated, refactored, and fixed.
- Serve as an expert on back-end software and help mid-level engineers with technical questions.
- Set up rules for organizing the codebase so that it is easy to manage.
Skills and requirements
- Strong skills as a boss and proven experience as a Team Lead.
- A lot of experience making back-end software with C# (version 7 or higher) and the.NET (version 3.1 or higher) environment.
- Ability to work well with traditional databases (like PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (like Elasticsearch), and caching systems (like Redis).
- Has a logical mind and is good at finding solutions to problems.
- able to work on their own and show that they are self-motivated.
- Outstanding planning skills and the ability to lead a group well.
- Skilled at understanding complex.NET Core solution codebases and refactoring them to meet current standards.
- Skilled at making accurate estimates of how long projects will take to finish at the team level.
- Actor Model (specifically Akka.NET) and event streaming systems are examples of more advanced ideas that you should know about.
- Knows how to use complicated data structures in Redis and is always looking for ways to improve how data structures and algorithms are used.
- When necessary, they know how to apply scaling concepts to production services.
- Comfortable with advanced UML models and tools for designing architecture.
- Finds and fixes problems before they have an effect on users.
- Explains business and technical ideas to different groups in a way that is clear and easy to understand.
- Motivates the team to use the ideas that have been suggested to improve speed and quality.
- Familiarity with intermediate to advanced C# ideas, such as Expression Trees, Reflection, threading, versioning, tooling, instrumentation, etc.
Other Requirements
- Must be independent enough to work with little or no direction.
- Must be able to run a group of up to 8 engineers well.
- Must be able to work from home in a quiet place with stable electricity and a steady internet connection. Must have a personal laptop that works well enough to do the job.
- Can work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven workplace. Must pay close attention to details.
- BSc or better in Computer Science or Engineering or a related field.
