Job Title: ACCOUNTANT
A Finance House licensed by the Bank of Ghana under the Banks and Specialized Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016, (Act 930) and with over twelve (12) years of operational experience in underwriting consumer credits and deposits is looking for capable candidates to join our committed and competent human resource
Job Purpose
Help a business make financial decisions by keeping track of transactions, collecting and analyzing data, doing audits, helping with budgets and financial forecasting, taxes, and making reports, banking cash, coordinating with customers and vendors, managing stock, and doing other tasks as needed.
A Brief Summary of Duties
- Help with putting together statutory records.
- Matching up the bank records and accounting ledgers for the business.
- Filling out tax forms and paying taxes and other bills.
- Keeping track of cash activities and filing them.
- Handling small amounts of cash.
- Invoice processing
- Bank and borrowers get back on the same page.
- Asset Register Management.
- Communicating with third-party clients, sellers, and providers.
- Helping with checks, checking records, and figuring out why things don’t match up.
- Keep financial controls in place by following rules and guidelines.
- Sort out money problems by gathering and studying information about accounts.
- Check, assign, post, and match up activities.
- Make accounting reports with no mistakes and show the findings.
- Give the management expert help and advice.
- Take part in the process of setting financial standards and making forecasts.
- Have a say in how the department sets its goals.
- Loan release.
- Filing documents and keeping them up to date.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Degree in finance or accounting.
- If you have a professional accounting degree, that will be a plus.
- Must have worked in a similar job for at least three years.
- It’s best if you’ve used the appropriate accounting software before.
Required Know-how, Skills, and Abilities
- Be able to use Pastel or other accounting tools well.
- Careful and focused on the details.
- Have a good understanding of basic accounting rules and practices
- Being up-to-date on business trends
- Knowledge of how to make financial records.
- Know how to close the books at the end of each month and the end of the year.
- Very good at using and managing accounting tools.
- Being right and paying attention to details
- Good sense of numbers and math skills
- Knows a little bit about accounting and reporting standards and is getting more practice doing research on accounting problems.
- know how to use Microsoft Spreadsheet well.
- Competent at Bookkeeping.
