Who You Are:

As a Strategy Analyst, you will analyse market trends, competition strategies, and internal performance data to provide insights and suggestions for strategic company growth decisions. Your key responsibilities will be to explore new business prospects, build relationships with potential partners, and strategically position our products/services in the market. This position demands good business acumen, critical thinking skills, and a data-driven approach.

Key responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct research on products, industry trends, market dynamics, and new technologies.
  • Analyse market data to generate insights and plans for seizing new business opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities and dangers in the market landscape.

Competitive Intelligence:

  • Monitor competitors’ actions, such as product releases and pricing schemes.
  • Analyse rivals’ strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis).
  • Evaluate market share and competitive stance against important competitors.

Strategic Planning:

  • Assist in the creation of strategic strategies and long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department to establish strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Find strategic prospects for growth, expansion, and diversity.

Prospecting and Partner Management:

  • Identify and approach possible partners through a variety of avenues, such as online research, networking events, and business groups.
  • Understand our partners’ business demands, objectives, and obstacles so that we may efficiently design our products and services to their specifications.

Collaboration and Cross-functional Communication:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, particularly the product team, to align company strategy and achieve shared objectives.
  • Communicate market insights and partner feedback to relevant teams to ensure continual improvement.

Business Pitch and Proposal Creation:

  • Create compelling, persuasive business pitches and proposals.

Performance monitoring and reporting:

Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) for business growth efforts.

Key Competencies

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, and economics, or a similar subject.
  • A minimum of two years of expertise in strategy consulting, analysis, or a similar discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills, including expertise in market research and competition intelligence.
  • Understanding the local digital financial services and fintech space.
  • Ability to solve problems and think critically.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (such as Excel and Power BI) is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to operate both alone and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Results-driven with a track record of fulfilling targets.
