POSITION: Set-up Officer

Job Description.
Lively Minds in Ghana is looking for a Set-up Officer to join their busy implementation team. The Set-up Officer plays an important role in ensuring the success of our overall project. The Set-up Officer will collaborate closely with Ghana Education Service (GES) District personnel and teachers in about 60 districts where our programme works to ensure that our activities are of high quality and well-positioned for long-term success.
To do this, the Set-Up Officer will coach and guide the GES team. They will provide periodic, structured trainings to help set up the curriculum. Once the setup trainings are completed, they will delegate the ongoing coordination of each district to the District Liaison Officers. In addition, the Set-up Officer will need to create activity reports and share them with Set-up Coordinators for continuing reporting, as well as detect and report any compliance issues.
The Set-up Officer will have significant responsibility for managing government connections and dealing directly with GES. They will be expected to closely monitor district performance and work with district teams to resolve any concerns, such as tardiness and motivation, diplomatically.
The role requires frequent travel and community contact. Set-up Officers will be in charge of creating their own budgets and accounting for their expenses in the field.

Required Skill or Experience
To succeed in this position, you must be:
- Energetic, self-motivated, and confident.
- Expertise in community entry processes and mobilisation.
- Experienced dealing with government partners.
- Effective communicator with great interpersonal skills and the ability to work with varied groups.
- Highly organised, a good planner who can create your own work schedule.
- Proficient at using MS Word to create reports.
- Capable of creating basic trip budgets using Microsoft Excel.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Minimum qualification: A degree or higher education diploma in early childhood or another equivalent field.
- Two or more years of experience facilitating and delivering training.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere through enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills combined with a flexible approach allow you to interact positively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- The ability to coordinate and engage big audiences.
- Experience coaching and collaborating with government stakeholders.
- Comfortable with frequent trips and overnight stays.
- Technically literate with a solid understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Capable of quickly adapting and learning new technological systems.
Desirable Experience and Skills.
- Experience working with GES (or other government departments) and other education stakeholders/organizations.
- Experience working for a non-governmental organization.
- Experience in community mobilisation or sensitisation efforts.
