POSITION: Territory Salesperson – Mining

What’s the role?

We’re searching for experienced Territory Salespersons headquartered in Kumasi, Ghana, to join our local Hilti partner team, with the capacity to travel as needed to service our mining client base. The successful team member will take ownership of Hilti’s market share for all activities in the Kumasi Region, as well as continue to create profitable sales.

What does the role entail?

You will take ownership of the assigned territory’s sales development by utilizing all components of our sales process to successfully assess, implement, and control possibilities inside the territory in order to meet the assigned targets for the defined area or market segment.

You will also cultivate fruitful working relationships at all levels – partners, contractors, system integrators, and end users – while actively managing and developing the growth of key products within the sales territory by targeting the appropriate customer groups and ensuring the successful introduction of new products. Furthermore, you will guarantee that both buying and potential clients receive adequate coverage inside the customer platform to achieve profitable growth.

You will actively and successfully show, service, train, and (where necessary) test Hilti products. To be successful, you must thoroughly grasp the market and be familiar with the players. As a result, you will receive information on competition, market price levels, new releases, seminars, new outlets, quality issues, product deliveries, and reports in monthly reports.

What You Need is

  • Completed a degree/diploma. (A civil or mechanical engineering degree is preferred.)
  • 3-5 years of relevant sales or direct technical sales expertise in the appropriate field, such as mining, construction, or heavy duty industry
  • Ability to converse in multiple languages as required. Proficient in English and Twi (both written and spoken)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A strong desire to constantly meet performance targets.
  • A problem-solving methodology that is nimble and solution-oriented.
  • Strong business acumen, with a team-oriented mentality.
  • A willingness to go the extra mile, including frequent travel as needed
  • A valid local driving license.
