POSITION: Strategy and Investor Relations Lead

Role Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Strategy and Investor Relations Lead to join our team at CalBank. This position will be critical in determining our strategic direction, performing industry research, and managing our interactions with investors and stakeholders.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Strategy Design and Implementation:
- Conduct extensive industry research to support strategic decision-making.
- Work with top management to establish and enhance the corporate strategy.
- Monitor and analyze market developments, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments.
- Implement strategic initiatives and monitor their progress.
2) Investor Relations:
- Act as the key interface between CalBank and its investors, analysts, and shareholders.
- Establish and maintain excellent ties with the investment community.
- Create and deliver presentations at investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows.
- Manage investor questions, ensuring fast and accurate responses.
3. Performance Reports:
- Create and manage an effective plan performance reporting system.
- Generate frequent reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategic objectives.
- Provide performance results to the board and senior management.
- Identify areas of improvement and recommend corrective actions.
4. Board Reports:
- Create detailed board reports on strategy, performance, and market position.
- Attend board meetings to report results and answer questions.
- Ensure board members are well-informed about the bank’s strategy and performance.
5. Financial analysis:
- Analyze financial accounts and performance data to help make strategic decisions.
- Work with the finance team to align financial and strategic objectives.
- Offer financial insights to enhance investor communications and board reports.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a similar discipline.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in strategy, finance, or investor relations roles.
- A proven track record of doing industry research and competition analysis.
- A thorough comprehension of financial accounts and performance metrics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and vocal communication abilities.
- Capability to communicate complicated facts to varied audiences.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a similar profession.
- Courses or qualifications from the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE).
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Previous experience in investor relations.
- Understanding of financial modeling and valuation techniques.
