Mantrac Ghana LTD is looking to hire a Health, Safety, and Environment Officer.

Objectives

• Ensures safety policies and practices align with Mantrac Group’s vision and principles, as well as global practices.
• Provides detailed reports on incidents, risks, and safety performance.
• Develops procedures for managing and disposing hazardous substances.
• Monitors and improves branch Health, Safety, and Environment procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure safety policies and practices align with global best practices.
• Lead safety/toolbox talks.
• Create procedures for managing and disposing hazardous substances.
• Create a comprehensive standard operating procedure for branch operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to safe working and environmental practices.
• Review safe working procedures as needed.
• Maintain an up-to-date record of all health, safety, and environmental activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• A excellent first degree in BSc. engineering will be a benefit, but not needed.
• Certification from NEBOSH, IOSH, or OHSAS. – Lead Auditor Certification and/or Internal Auditor Certification – Certification is a benefit, but not required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of global health, safety, and environmental protocols
