ROLE: Security/CCTV Operator

Position Description
The school is looking for a Security/CCTV Operator who will operate under the supervision of the Safety and Security Manager to maintain and improve the school’s security operations and services.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure the safety and security of the School (students, staff, parents, and other community members) whether on campus or at any other school facility.
- As authorized by the supervisor, conduct day and night security patrols of the school grounds and school residential dwellings.
- During patrols and surveillance, provide the highest security and safety of the school grounds.
- Maintain vigilance and report any irregularities or breaches of security through the relevant authorities.
- Guard the entrance to the school premises with vigilance and ensure that all visitors to the campus pass all security procedures.
- Trespassers should be restrained as needed using the relevant methods.
- Operate and operate the school’s CCTV systems as needed to improve campus security.
- Control school traffic and parking according to established protocols. Maintain the highest standards of health and safety at all times.
Required Qualifications or Experiences
- A minimum of five years of prior security officer experience is required.
- A minimum of three years of experience running and utilizing CCTV systems (to be tested).
- Proven ability to collaborate successfully with local law enforcement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading and writing (to be tested).
Qualifications:
- SSS qualification or equivalent is required.
- Security certification/training is preferred.
- Qualification or training in CCTV operations is preferred.
- Valid Class C driver’s license.
Working conditions
- You will be required to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends and nights.
- You will be expected to work on a shift basis.
- Tasks are conducted on a regular basis with the possibility of being exposed to hazardous environmental conditions such as dust, humidity, rain, temperature extremes, road risks, and probable violence.
- The position’s remuneration package is attractive; salary will be determined by applicable experience and qualifications.
