ROLE: Secondary School Principal Assistant

Job Description.

Lincoln Community School is one of Africa’s major American International Schools, with roughly 600 pupils representing 60 different countries.

The School is looking for an Assistant to the Secondary School Principal and Deputy Principal.

The Assistant takes the initiative to make the Principal and Deputy Principal’s job more efficient, and is required to provide friendly, courteous, and efficient customer service to all parents, staff, students, and visitors to the school.

Required Skill or Experience

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any subject.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • A minimum of four years of experience working in a customer service environment.
  • Minimum of four years of experience working with students in a school setting (preferred).
  • Excellent technology skills, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and the Google Suite (Google Mail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Forms).
  • Experience with database management, namely data entry.
  • Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • The ability to safeguard the confidentiality of student, parent, and staff information.
  • Ability to work with people of all ages and cultures.
  • Ability to follow directions with little or no supervision.
  • Attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Ability to operate outside typical business hours as necessary.
  • Capable of doing additional jobs when needed, as well as exercising autonomous judgment to anticipate and then carry out the position’s obligations.
