POSITION: Ghana Finance Manager

Lively Minds, an award-winning NGO, is collaborating with Ghana Education Services (GES) to launch an innovative early childhood development curriculum. We are hiring in Ghana to support our ambitious plans to expand the project to 60 districts across eight regions.
Job Description
We are searching for a Ghana Finance and Administration Manager to help build and implement a sustainable scaling plan, as well as to ensure our financial management is strong and sustainable during this moment of rapid growth. The Ghana Finance and Administration Manager will oversee Finance and Administration Coordinators and Officers in-country offices and ensure Lively Minds adheres to financial protocols by consolidating financial reports and submitting them to the Director of Finance, developing systems and policies, training staff, and collaborating with auditors to ensure accountability.
The role’s key responsibilities include analysis and budgeting, staff management, financial accountability, and reporting. The Ghana Finance and Administrative Manager will report to the Director of Finance and work closely with Ghana’s Country Director and Management Team.

Required Skill or Experience
Essential Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of experience handling budgets, forecasts, and financial controls, preferably at the management level.
- Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, ICAG, CIMA, or equivalent) – Qualified or
- Part-Qualified with applicable experience.
- Experience leading a medium-sized team across different sites.
- Financial modeling and intermediate Excel skills (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, etc.).
- Excellent communication abilities (both written and spoken).
- Wide experience working with auditors, administering donations, and reporting to donors.
- Capable of accurately filtering and analyzing complex financial data, as well as producing perfect financial reports.
- Strong awareness of local financial regulations and laws.
- Experience communicating with risk management professionals and managing financial records, reporting, and controls.
- Able to collaborate with government stakeholders and donors.
- Capable of upholding and enforcing financial regulations while also demonstrating the highest level of responsibility.
- Strong technical literacy- intermediate user of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Teams, with the ability to quickly adapt to and learn new technology systems.
Desirable Experience and Skills.
- Experience working with remote teams.
