POSITION: Regional Automation and Digital Support Lead

Mission

The lead in supporting new automation projects and other digital product installations, as well as assisting our marketing team in growing the automation company.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Engineering and project assistance for field installations
  • Automation (Line of Sight, Tele Remote, etc.) and digitization initiatives are being planned and implemented.
  • On-site technical commissioning and troubleshooting for installed systems.
  • All installations are monitored remotely on a regular basis to ensure their system health and performance.
  • Help customer maintenance professionals create tickets when they request assistance.
  • Fault analysis (and subsequent prioritization) and data collection for escalation to the global support staff.
  • Facilitate on-site deployment of software updates, upgrades, and/or system configurations.
  • Work with the customer’s technical teams to help them extract the most value from our solutions, which includes facilitating change management and technology acceptance at the operational level.
  • Engage clients through ongoing discussions (planned and impromptu) to inform them about new functionalities in the product offering.
  • Collaborate and interact with all other internal relationship management organizations to enhance the customer experience.
  • Document consumer comments (for sharing with the R&D team), specifically about system functioning, operation, and maintenance.
  • Aim to quickly and precisely detect known and unknown unsolved product issues and engage global support teams.
  • Developing educational materials and providing on-site training.
  • Support the regional automation industry’s growth.

Competence, Skills, and Experience

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or mechatronics engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of expertise with mining machine automation.
  • Linux Terminal familiarity is required.
  • Experience with communication systems.
  • Familiarity with sophisticated industrial equipment.
  • Experience assisting customers with sophisticated software-related difficulties.
  • Experience with the mining industry
  • The personality characteristics required for this function
  • Strong knowledge of mining automation systems.
  • Good understanding of radio and network systems.
  • A good understanding of the benefits of mine automation and digitalization.
  • Good internal and external communication abilities, as well as a willingness to build solid relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Strong Customer Care emphasis, with a strong drive to deliver best-practice solutions for our clients alongside them.
  • A highly motivated, energetic, and results-oriented individual.
