- Position: IT/System Administrator
- Reports to: General Manager – Engineering and Services
Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and driven IT/System Administrator to oversee and sustain our IT infrastructure. The perfect candidate will guarantee the seamless functioning of our IT systems, oversee network security, and offer technical assistance to every department. This position is vital for improving the efficiency and tech abilities of our organization.
Main Duties:
- Set up, adjust, and oversee hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Oversee system efficiency and address problems swiftly.
- Guarantee data protection by implementing regular backups, configuring firewalls, and establishing access controls.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access privileges in local and cloud settings.
- Preserve and refresh IT documentation, network schematics, and asset lists.
- Work together with the IT Manager to establish IT policies and optimal practices.
- Assist end-users with technical problems and offer training when needed.
- Perform routine system updates and maintenance inspections.
- Guarantee adherence to IT security guidelines and data privacy laws.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT/System Administration.
- Expertise in managing networks and servers (Windows/Linux).
- Practical experience with cloud solutions, firewalls, and virtualization.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and careful attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Certifications like CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) provide an advantage.
