POSITION: Customer Account Coordinator

The role:
As the Customer Account Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for our Key Account customers. This job will be in charge of the customer order process, addressing and responding to customer inquiries with professionalism and accountability. Furthermore, the position will involve collaboration with our supply chain planner to ensure efficient forecasting and inventory management. This position will play an important part in the sales organization, to develop long-term customer connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer all specified incoming calls from external clients and send sales orders to the appropriate department for processing.
- Assess consumer inquiries and forward them to the appropriate department or person for support.
- Assist the Parts Sales Team with commercial planning, including pricing, inventory management, demand planning, and the integration of new and current business.
- Take ownership of client issues and ensure obligations are delivered as promised. Follow through on agreements to give the highest quality of customer service experience.
- Develop customer contacts and assist the Sandvik company.
- Guide the Sandvik organization in delivering value and results to the customer (know what the client wants).
- Guide the customer towards the possibilities with Sandvik – make the value proposition known, in general (the value of Sandvik, e.g., innovative R&D, dependability, support, worldwide presence) and particularly (the benefits of specific product/service solutions).
- Proactively propose all SMR products and services to the consumer, where applicable. Understand the most recent offerings.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure customer issues are resolved and seek support when / where needed, such as sourcing and stock requirements to suit customer needs and desires.
- Use value-based pricing (rather than cost-plus pricing) to achieve profitable expansion.
- Responsibilities include preparing offers, negotiating and finalizing agreements with KAM, and serving as an ambassador for Sandvik and a reference for customers on opportunities and issues. Escalation. Additionally, advocate for the customer inside.
- Manage issues and resolutions.
- Maintain product expertise and contribute to product support and training sessions as needed.
- Maintain and use the CRM system, as well as other internal and external reporting systems.
- Help to drive after-market sales by collaborating with KAM to create external initiatives.
Your Profile:
This role requires an eager, well-organized self-starter who appreciates working in a collaborative atmosphere. You must be able to create and build new relationships with customers who utilize our products. Working with our internal and external business partners requires excellent communication skills as well as a strong sense of teamwork and professionalism. The position will also demand you to be able to make sound business judgments and exercise your judgment when necessary.
Required Qualification:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a similar profession. A technical background is preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related sector.
- Management and result-oriented experience in the industrial goods sector
- Proven track record of creating growth, efficiency, and innovation in collaboration with clients.
- Driving license.
- The post will need some travel throughout West Africa to visit customer sites.
- It is expected that you are well-versed in the Microsoft Office suite and can easily adapt digital technologies like CRM or other customer contact software.
