POSITION: Risk and Compliance Manager 

In the ever-changing fintech and pensions scene, our organization needs a Risk and Compliance Manager to supervise all aspects of business risk while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. The ideal applicant will develop, implement, and monitor risk management strategies that will help the organization grow while protecting its operations and reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Risk Management Leadership entails developing and implementing a comprehensive risk management program to identify, assess, and reduce business risks such as strategic, financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to current on regulatory requirements affecting the fintech and pensions industries, and ensure that the company meets these standards.
  • Policy Development and Governance: Create and update risk and compliance policies and processes to comply with business objectives and regulatory needs.
  • Strategic Integration: Collaborate with executive management to include risk management into the fabric of business planning and operations strategy.
  • Risk Culture and Awareness: Foster a strong risk management culture inside the organization, and create educational initiatives to raise overall awareness and compliance.
  • Build and maintain an effective compliance structure that aligns with international standards, the organization’s commercial activities, and client relationships.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct ongoing assessments to analyse the company’s risk profile and adjust strategy in response to regulatory changes and business evolution.
  • Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: Create and implement compliance monitoring procedures, and provide reports to top management and regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Incident and Issue Management: Develop methods for promptly identifying, investigating, and resolving risk and compliance issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities, auditors, and other external parties regarding risk and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Educational background: A bachelor’s degree in finance, law, business administration, information technology, or a related discipline. A master’s degree is desirable.
  • Professional Certification: Candidates must have certificates in risk management (e.g., CRISC, FRM) or compliance (e.g., CRCM), with a significant preference for those certified in information security management.
  • ISO Project Leadership: The candidate must have successfully led at least one ISO information security project, such as the implementation of ISO 27001 standards.
  • Risk Management Expertise: The ability to create and maintain comprehensive risk management frameworks.
  • Policy Development Skills: Proficient in developing, implementing, and revising firm policies and processes to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and commercial objectives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for communicating risk and compliance initiatives to stakeholders at all levels, as well as developing a compliance and risk-awareness culture.
  • Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to mentor and motivate teams.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities: Proven ability to assess complicated data and systems, identify potential dangers, and develop effective solutions.
  • Technology Proficiency: Knowledgeable about modern information technology and financial software systems.
  • Adaptability: The ability to adjust strategy in response to changing threats and opportunities in the fintech market.
