ROLE: Coverage Head B
Purpose
Develop and implement a Coverage strategy by leading and inspiring a team to build strong and rewarding client relationships, introducing qualified opportunities to product houses, and collaborating with product houses to achieve the conversion of these clients to the Bank. Develop a sector-focused strategy in line with the government’s strategic sectors for economic growth, such as sovereigns, CFA, resources, oil and gas, infrastructure, and so on. Expand existing client base through cross-selling and upselling to preserve and grow customer profitability as their Primary Banker and through the Bank Ecosystem. Prioritize sectors that fuel national economic growth, as well as a strategic balance to accomplish corporate success.
Responsibilities
Create tactical plans to increase revenue.
- Deep relationships with critical sectors, with a particular emphasis on Sovereign, Bank of Ghana, and other State-owned institutions, which the incumbent will manage as his or her own portfolio.
- Growing track record Share of wallet on existing clients and cross-bank collaboration in a product-agnostic manner
- Determine possible problem accounts and develop risk-mitigation methods.
- Optimize customer contribution to ensure customer value addition through cross-selling opportunities.
- To ensure client happiness, take a customer-centric strategy.
- Develop, support, and maintain collaborative partnerships across business units and the organization.
- Manage a team or teams in areas of responsibility in order to meet performance targets and achieve larger human capital goals.
- Analyze data and reports to detect trends, anomalies, and inconsistencies for use in decision-making.
- Integrated risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks are implemented throughout the area of responsibility.
- Develop and implement a tactical sales strategy for your area of responsibility.
- Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership in your field.
- Create mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders in order to support thought leadership and innovative, and integrated practice solutions.
- Ensure optimum client experience and service throughout the value chain
- Draw up a budget related to tactical delivery goals to support the allocation of necessary financial resources
Experience and Credentials
- Postgraduate qualification in a Commerce, Finance, or Business subject is required.
- A master’s degree in Commerce or Finance, Business discipline, or an MBA is preferred.
- 7 to 8 years of experience in a similar context, 3 to 5 years ideally at management level
- Knowledge of banking markets and other product house potential is an asset.
