Participatory Action for Rural Development Alternatives (PARDA) is a local development group that promotes local resource mobilization, management, and self-help development initiatives by actively involving beneficiary partners in socio-economic enterprises.
Job Description
PARDA is working in Northern Ghana to increase maternal and child health, among other thematic programs, through community-based initiatives. As part of its workforce strengthening, PARDA seeks the services of a qualified person for the following positions:
Responsibilities
- Produce reports on M&E findings and prepare presentations based on M&E data as necessary.
- Provide management information to the Director through the Programs Manager as needed.
- Monitoring the performance of all projects.
- Project proposal writing
- Regular monitoring of project activity implementation.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of PARDA.
Required Skill or Experience
Qualification
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in statistics, demography, public policy, economics, Development Studies, Accounting Economics, or a closely related discipline. A master’s degree in any relevant field is an extra benefit.
- Excellent written and spoken grasp of the English language.
Experience
- A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in an M&E role, including development project activities.
- Experience building, establishing, and operating project monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Experience developing and managing beneficiary monitoring and database systems.
- Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and creating M&E and performance monitoring plans and tools.
- Knowledge of the key assessment approaches (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, and impact), as well as data collecting and processing methods.
- Experience managing and training targeted beneficiaries.
- Ability to arrange and act as a project liaison for externally supervised evaluations.
- Able to ride a motorcycle to project communities.
