Medilab Diagnostic Service Ltd. is hiring a Sonographer.
Duties
- To help doctors diagnose and keep an eye on conditions like pregnancy and diseases like cancer
- The sonographer works directly with patients and uses sonographic equipment to record images of the movement, shape, and composition of blood, organs, tissues, and body masses
- You should be able to communicate well with patients and pay close attention to details
- You should be able to work with people of all ages
- hearing doctors’ and other medical professionals’ recorded dictation.
- Using specialised transcription equipment like as headphones and foot pedals.
- Using speech recognition technologies to edit and correct medical dictation.
- Translating consultation notes, procedures, and recorded diagnostic test findings into the appropriate report formats.
- Ensuring that patient care is not compromised by quickly and accurately transcribing and carrying out meticulous editing.
- Typing out the complete forms of medical abbreviations and acronyms, as well as the official versions of medical jargon.
- Locating and investigating mistakes, missing information, and contradictions in a transcription.
- Timely submission of transcriptions for clearance to medical professionals.
- Completing extra work, such as updating and monitoring patient information and inputting medical reports into electronic health records
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Should have a license from the AHPC and be going strong
- Training in medical transcribing after secondary school.
- It would be beneficial to become certified as a healthcare documentation professional.
- Two to three years of equivalent experience as a medical transcriptionist.
- Proficiency with Kareo Clinical EHR and AdvancedMD, two electronic health record systems. the capacity to type at least 65 words per minute and accurately transcribe.
- Experience with specialised transcription equipment and voice recognition software, including WebChartMD and PhraseExpander.
- Extensive familiarity with medical jargon and terminology in addition to editing experience Keen attention to detail in order not to jeopardise patient care.
- Ability to comply with legal obligations and protect patient confidentiality
- Proficient in written communication and well-versed in medical record formats.
