POSITION: Finance Manager

As part of a worldwide team, the company urgently wants a Finance Manager to assist in the execution of critical financial and HR tasks throughout the company’s offices in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Uganda, and Zambia.
Position Description
The Finance Manager (FM) is a part of the worldwide 4Ward Development team. The international team is largely responsible for ensuring that company operations are scaled for maximum efficiency while maintaining high performance and integrity. They will assure a high level of customer satisfaction, effective maintenance and repairs, investable financial performance, and the continued provision of safe, dependable, convenient, and economical water services on a large scale.
This entails providing day-to-day leadership and administration of the associated staff and consultants, as well as assisting the associated line managers in each 4Ward branch in achieving these objectives. Furthermore, the global team will oversee the documentation, evaluation, and deployment of standard operating procedures to save time, reduce errors, improve uniformity, and increase revenues. The international team is effective when it has identified and duplicated the elements that enable 4Ward business units to achieve product-market fit, continually surpass customer expectations, and fulfill yearly profitability, performance, and scale targets.
The FM is in charge of ensuring that these tasks are met within the company’s Finance and Human Resources divisions.
The FM will report to the OKC, USA Director of Systems Engineering & Quality.
Duties
The primary tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Improve the profitability of 4Ward Development companies.
- Evaluate and support business processes in order to maximize profitability, improve efficiency, and reduce costs across the board.
- Manage and validate the 4Ward Development financial model.
- Consider possible investment or finance alternatives.
- Determine and discuss potential hazards
- Optimize capital expenditures and logistics.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for 4Ward multinational and individual country operations’ important stakeholders.
- Forecasting cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheet
- Ensure that 4Ward Development operations are scaleable.
- Accountability for the quality and correctness of the company’s accounting. Verification of accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversee multinational payroll and bookkeeping, as well as conduct internal audits for each 4Ward branch
- On behalf of each branch, provide assistance and cooperation with the Water4 financial team.
- Budget consolidation and spending control
- Gather evidence to support grant compliance and external audits.
- Invoices and approvals are processed.
- Evaluate and support human resource business practices
- Maintain a positive employee experience and good retention rates.
- Make it easier to communicate company-wide policy.
- Financial process, system, and intellectual property knowledge management
- Maintain and document company processes, systems, and challenges.
- Coordination, development, training, and implementation of the most efficient and effective solutions
- Prioritize risks and opportunities.
- Keep an eye on industry trends.
- Finance, audit, legal, and other professional consultants and projects are managed.
- Ensure that 4Ward Development’s activities are founded on their basic beliefs.
- In order to boost profitability, innovate to increase revenue, cut expenses, and improve performance and efficiency.
- Develop and empower staff in the Finance and Human Resource departments across
- 4Ward branches to foster a culture of teamwork, faith, and accountability.
Required Qualifications or Experience
Qualifications and Skills Preferred
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online or comparable software Experience with communication platforms such as the Microsoft Office suite, project management platforms, cloud-based email services, workflow sharing, and document storage platforms
- Organizational and communication abilities, as well as the ability to collaborate with and encourage other development professionals and volunteers, are required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; precision and attention to detail
- Ability to work alone and in a team atmosphere; talent for working collectively to achieve common goals; promote cooperation, collaboration, and information exchange; and consistently improve standards to maintain quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously changing workplace that is open to new ideas and their implementation
- Mastery of carefully listening to and comprehending the needs of others, both internally and externally, and responding to those needs in a consistent and timely manner.
- Strength to direct and motivate others through communication, suitable behavior modeling, optimism, and high achievement
- Willingness and availability to travel up to 6-8 weeks per year is required.
- Remote office work experience is preferred.
Requirements for Education
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics with 5 – 10 years of experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accreditation (ICA/ACCA/CIMA) desirable.
- Understands and follows generally accepted accounting standards (GAAP) as well as
- Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules and regulations.
