The Islamic University of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following positions:
1. Human Resource Management Officer
Responsibilities
Without regard to any other tasks as established by the President and Management of the University College, the officer of Human Resource Management shall, among other things, be responsible to the Registrar for:
- Advising the Management Board and Council on staffing needs for effective teaching and learning at IUCG.
- Enforcing employment, welfare, development, and dismissal regulations.
- Verifying and authenticating employee publications, documents, and certificates.
- Periodically reviewing and enforcing IUCG’s staff development policy and ensuring its implementation.
- Process yearly leave, study leave, and travel requests for staff.
- Advise academic board and council on future staff needs based on IUCG’s medium-term and long-term academic, professional, and skills training plans.
- Comply with any disciplinary action taken by a recognized authority of the University college.
- Perform quality assurance duties as directed by the President, management board, academic board, or council.
Qualifications & Experience
- Applicant must have a minimum of MPhil/MSc in a related discipline, a professional degree in Human Resource Management, and at least 5 years of working experience.
- The applicant must have a high level of integrity, competence, and leadership.
2. Senior Lecturer / Professor
Responsibilities
- Teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate)
- Curriculum design and development
- Assessment and examinations
- Supervise project work, industrial attachments, and internships.
- Mentor and counsel students.
- Conduct research, development, and innovation.
- Create publications.
- Participate in administration and institutional governance.
- Provide consulting and technology support to enterprises and extension services.
- Serve on committees.
Qualifications & Experience
- Available positions include Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Professor in the aforementioned subject areas.
- Candidates with a terminal degree and at least two published research publications may be considered for Lecturer positions.
