- Role: Development Project Manager, Africa
- Location: Accra, Ghana
Our client, a multinational FMCG company with a strong presence in Africa is looking to recruit a highly experienced and seasoned Development Project Manager to join the team.
ROLE:
The purpose of the role is to manage the technical (R&D) related projects in combination with the implementation of new recipes and technologies on pilot and industrial scale.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Firstly, Effectively manage multiple projects and collaborate partnership.
- Secondly, Desire to challenge assumptions and identify new opportunities.
- Thirdly, Apply learning in an effective way.
- Furthermore, Apply critical thinking.
- Moreover, Follow prescribed procedures, company policies and values.
- Additionally, Attend to the day-to-day problems conceming factories/consumer.
- Last but not least, Category product maintenance.
- Finally, Collaborate with marketing, factory teams, purchasing, co-manufacturers and other technical functions.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Degree in food science, food process or agricultural engineering.
- Lead project teams from brief until the plant implementation of the product.
- Then, Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and presentation skills.
- Strong work ethic with the flexibility of working in a fast paced and changing environment,
- Afterwards, Demonstrates competency in the use of Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and QA/QC requirements.
- Lastly, Experience in managing complex, multi-site and or multi-company projects.
Availability to travel.
10+ years experience in project management of product development and efficiency projects preferably in dry convenience foods or dry ingredients sector.
